Submit Absence Notifications Online on Dean of Students Website

The Office of the Dean of Students has worked to streamline its processes to better serve our faculty, staff, and students. One change is that the absence notification process is now online and requests may be submitted through the absence notification form on the Dean of Students website.

Faculty and staff may now refer students to the website in case of an emergency situation, illness, or extenuating circumstance that may prevent them from attending class.

The office will continue to verify the documentation and send the absence notification to the student’s instructors on their behalf. It is at the discretion of each instructor to deem the absence excused or unexcused and to allow the student to make up any missed assignments or exams.
