Employee Parking Updates for the Fall 2017 Semester

Parking and Transit Services has made some changes to help accommodate student, faculty, and staff parking needs as we begin a new school year.

All faculty, staff, and students need a 2017-18 UT parking permit to use campus lots.

Students, faculty, and staff who need accessible parking are required to purchase and display a UT permit along with their valid state-issued handicap-accessible placard or license plate at the Parking and Transit Services office. All vehicles displaying dual registration may park in any accessible space as well as any unreserved space not designated for UT vehicles.

All students, faculty, and staff are reminded to display their permit or hangtag properly.

 

Faculty and Staff

Students, faculty, and staff may no longer park along Volunteer Boulevard from UT Drive to Peyton Manning Pass. Upgrades to Volunteer Boulevard have eliminated the spots.

Employees with Staff 9 parking permits can now use the lot behind the College of Nursing.

A small section of commuter parking in the White Avenue Garage on Level 2 West has been converted to Staff 12 parking to accommodate increased demand for staff parking with the opening of Strong Hall.

Ride the T

The T transit system resumes its full schedule on Monday, August 21, offering four fixed routes (the Hill, Neyland Express, the Fort, and Late Nite), accessible van service, and the T Link. Beginning Wednesday, August 23, two shuttle routes to Oak Ridge National Laboratory/Pellissippi State Community College and the Joint Institute for Advanced Materials (JIAM) at Cherokee Farm resume regular service.
