The UT Student Counseling Center’s doctoral internship in professional psychology has again been accredited by the American Psychological Association for seven years, the maximum period possible. The accreditation process included a self-study and site visit review which involved all the staff of the center.

The process takes an average of about 18 months from the time a program submits a self-study until the APA reaches a decision.

Maggie Klotz, director of training, said, “We are delighted to have received reaccreditation from APA. Reaccreditation for seven years by APA reflects the quality of the UT Student Counseling Center program. We could not have achieved this without the help of everyone associated with the program and our campus partners.”
