As the spring semester comes to an end, some offices and buildings will change operating hours for the mini-term and summer sessions.

Campus Dining

Summer campus dining hours can be found on the Vol Dining website. Check the hours frequently, because times will be different in May from the rest of the summer.

Campus dining options for the summer include:

  • Mabel’s
  • POD Markets in Vol Hall, Hodges Library, Stokely Hall, and Humanities and Social Sciences Building, and on the ag campus.
  • Chick-fil-A, Subway, and Panda Express in the Student Union
  • Starbucks in Hodges Library and the Student Union
  • Einstein Bros. Bagels in Haslam Business Building

As a reminder, the Thompson-Boling Arena dining area will be closed all summer for renovations. 

While campus and conferences are scheduled this summer, The Fresh Food Company in Stokely Hall will be open with a limited menu. For the month of June, breakfast will be served from 6:30 to 9 a.m., lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. July dates and hours of operation will be posted later in the month.

  • Subway and Twisted Taco in Brown Residence Hall
  • Southern Kitchen
  • POD Markets in Hess Hall, Presidential Court Building, Laurel Hall, Greve Hall, Clement Hall, and the College of Law Building
  • Starbucks in Stokely Residence Hall
  • Qdoba and Salad Creations in the Student Union
  • Dippers in Hess Hall
  • Quiznos in Vol Hall
  • Einstein Bros. Bagels in Art & Architecture Building
  • Dunkin’ Donuts in Vol Hall
  • Raising Cane’s and Panda Express on Cumberland Avenue

RecSports

Summer hours for the TRECS, the Student Aquatic Center, the Outdoor Center, and the climbing wall can be found on the RecSports website.

Summer outdoor trips, intramural sports, and group fitness class schedules are being finalized and will be posted on the RecSports website when completed.

Student Union

The Student Union will be open from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. The building will be closed on Sundays. The Student Union will be closed for utility work Monday, May 15, through Wednesday, May 17.

Other Campus Spaces

Additional buildings overseen by the Student Union staff will have summer hours. The Panhellenic Building, Dunford Hall, and the UT Visitors Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and closed on the weekends. 

Student Health Center

The Student Health Center will keep its regular operating hours. The center is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

The triage/acute care clinic is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays.

The pharmacy is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays.

Students should go to the UT Medical Center emergency room if in need of after-hours care.

As a reminder, students who are not registered for the mini-term or summer sessions but were enrolled during the spring 2017 semester and are registered for the fall 2017 semester can pay the health portion of the summer student programs and services fee to receive Student Health Center services during the summer.

Student Counseling Center

The Student Counseling Center will also keep its regular operating hours. The center is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Summer drop-in hours are from 1 to 3:30 p.m. weekdays. Students who cannot drop in during those times can call the center at 865-974-2196 to discuss options.

Students not attending classes during the mini-term or summer sessions can access the center’s services by paying the counseling center portion of the summer student programs and services fee.
