WBIR Features UT Declaration Day, Upcoming Freshman Overcoming Hardship

UT Admissions staged its first ever Declaration Day broadcast on Monday, May 1 from the Ray and Lucy Hand Digital Studio.

Incoming freshman Xavier Grace of Memphis, along with his mom and some special friends.

The unique event celebrated the May 1 college confirmation deadline.

WBIR featured coverage on the Declaration Day broadcast, and focused on one incoming freshman in particular, Xavier Grace of Memphis. Grace has faced much hardship in his life, but overcame all odds and was recently admitted to UT.
