Michinari Hamaguchi, president of the Japan Science and Technology Agency, will speak at UT’s Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy as part of the Howard Baker Memorial Lecture Series.

His lecture, “JST as an Innovation Navigator,” takes place at 3:30 p.m. March 23 in the Baker Center’s Toyota Auditorium.

The JST Agency is one of the core institutions responsible for implementing science and technology policy in Japan. The agency has been recognized globally for its accomplishments in collaboration with the government, universities, the industrial sector, and the public.

Hamaguchi is also president emeritus of Nagoya University. His scholarly interest is pathological medical chemistry.
