Parking Updates for the Spring 2017 Semester

As the spring semester begins, Parking and Transit Services wants to make you aware of some changes and updates to parking across campus.

Volunteer Boulevard Garage

The Stokely Family Residence Hall has opened and residential parking (N permits) is available on levels 4 and 5 of the Volunteer Boulevard Garage (G-16). Commuter parking (C permits) will still be available on levels 1, 2, and 3. The second entrance to the garage along Johnny Majors Drive will open Wednesday, January 11.

No parking will be permitted along any of the curbs of the drive lane leading to the garage entrance.

Lake Avenue Garage

Commuter parking (C permits) is now available on levels 1 and 2 of the Lake Avenue Garage. These levels have been converted to commuter parking to compensate for the two levels converted to residential parking in the Volunteer Boulevard Garage. Residential parking (N permits) will be available in levels 3 and up.

Construction Updates

Residential parking (N permits) at Humes Residence Hall is closed due to demolition of the building starting soon.

A new garage on Lake Avenue is currently under construction and is scheduled to open in 2018. The garage will provide 1,000 new spaces and real-time parking availability.

Surface Lots for Residential Students

The commuter (C-11) parking lot at the corner of Volunteer Boulevard and Lake Avenue has also opened to residential (N permit) students as overflow parking. Additionally, the commuter (CFN1) parking lot in front of the Food Science and Technology Building is also open to residential students as overflow parking.

If you need a ride from your car back to your residence hall, please call 865-974-4080 or use a blue phone to call the T:Link to pick you up.
