News Sentinel Highlights Sumrall Knowledge on Lone Bohemian Waxwing Bird

A Knoxville News Sentinel columnist recently featured Colin Sumrall, assistant professor of paleobiology, and his knowledge of Bohemian waxwing birds in this story

A lone Bohemian waxwing, traveling with a flock of cedar waxwings in Sequoyah Hills Park in November, was the first ever documented in Tennessee. Sumrall discovered the waxwing early in the morning when he stopped off on the way to work hoping to photograph rusty blackbirds that frequent the park in winter.
