The Knoxville News Sentinel interviewed Michael Fitzgerald, professor of political science, about potential changes that would need to be made in the Democratic Party following this month’s presidential election.

Fitzgerald, who specializes in American government, saidĀ millennials must be listened to and be part of the party going forward.

He noted thatĀ one of the divides in the country is between college-educated, independent women who have embraced social and cultural revisions and other women.
