WBIR Interviews Nownes about Expectations for First Presidential Debate

WBIR-TVWBIR-TV Channel 10 interviewed Anthony Nownes, professor of political science, about what viewers could expect to hear during the first presidential debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump last night. Nownes said to anticipate discussions on immigration and foreign policy. He added that viewers would see a new side of the candidates, as they’re forced to think on their feet.

“When the candidates are out stumping, they get to choose what issues they talk about and what they say about them, and this is a lot different context than they’re normally in during a campaign,” Nownes said. Watch the story online.
