The Christian Science Monitor featured the research of political science professor Anthony Nownes in a story examining whether celebrity endorsements could help or hurt candidates in the presidential race.

“Celebrity political activity can indeed influence some citizens’ views of political parties,” according to Nownes. He found, for example, that when people dislike a celebrity, and that celebrity has contributed to a party, then they like that party less.
