WATE-TV Channel 6 recently interviewed Patrick Grzanka, assistant professor of psychology, about the compounded discrimination faced by people of color who also identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT).

The recent mass shooting at an Orlando gay nightclub is in many ways “an extreme example of the everyday terrorism that LGBT people of color experience in the US as targets of vitriol and discrimination on the street, in institutions such as schools and hospitals, and in the media, law, and politics,” he said. Grzanka also interviewed with Volunteer TV Channel 8 about the same topic.
