The Association of Public Land-grant Universities’ Task Force on Laboratory Safety has released its Guide to Implementing a Safety Culture in Our Universities. The task force, which is co-chaired by Taylor Eighmy, UT’s vice chancellor for research and engagement, also released a companion website, aplu.org/researchsafety, intended to make the guide more accessible and allow for the continued sharing of best practices and other information to improve safety at research universities nationwide.
This guide includes action steps, resources, and recommendations to help the university take the steps necessary to protect the safety of students, faculty, and staff.
