UT’s Veterans Services Coordinator Jayetta Rogers appeared on WBIR’s series “Service and Sacrifice” hosted by John Becker to discuss the new Veterans Resource Center opening in Hodges Library in the 2016–17 academic year.
UT’s Office of Veteran Student Services receives high marks for customer service to veterans, assisting students with registration, resources, and counseling services. The new space will allow a central place for student veterans to gather, study, and use the office’s services.
In the “Service and Sacrifice” segment, Rogers spoke about how more veterans will be coming to UT in coming years on tuition waivers as deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan end.
