The search for the next vice chancellor for communications is now underway. The position is being vacated later this year upon the retirement of the current vice chancellor, Margie Nichols.

Chris Cimino, vice chancellor for finance and administration, is chairing the search. The committee members are Kari Alldredge, interim associate provost for enrollment management; Steve Smith, dean of libraries; Jacob Rudolph, marketing director in the Office of Communications and Marketing; Ryan Robinson, senior associate athletics director; Maxine Davis, assistant vice chancellor for student life; Candace White, professor of advertising and public relations; and Mario Grant, a sophomore in supply chain management.

The vice chancellor for communications is the chief communications and marketing officer and advises the chancellor and senior leaders on communications-related matters. The position oversees the Office of Communications and Marketing and WUOT-FM 91.9, the public radio station licensed to the university. View the complete position description.

Candidates will be recruited over the next couple of months, with plans to host finalists on campus in mid-May.
