Among the recent upgrades to the UT Alert mass notification system is the new Alertus desktop notification system.
Once they have installed the system, faculty, staff, and students will receive the same message sent through the UT Alert mass notification system on their computer monitor. Download the Alertus desktop client software.
Many members of the campus community already have Alertus installed. OIT is automatically installing Alertus to computers on the Active Directory in phases. This test will help evaluate the system’s functionality as it is being deployed.
If you have Alertus and do not see the test message on your computer screen at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, December 17, please call the OIT Helpdesk at 865-974-9900 to troubleshoot any technical problems.
