The Faculty Senate will hold an emergency meeting from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, in Room 132 of the College of Law. The meeting will focus on a response to the controversy around the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the calls for Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek and Vice Chancellor Rickey Hall to resign. The Senate will vote on resolutions to respond to the legislators’ statements and possible administrative action resulting from those statements. The group also will discuss further action on the issue.
