KNS Features Religious Studies, Political Science Faculty in Story about Paris Attacks

A Muslim community that is willing to answer questions and a university where people are willing to think analytically are advantages for Knoxville, said Manuela Ceballos, a lecturer in the Department of Religious Studies.

The story also featured Brandon Prins, a professor in the Department of Political Science, who noted that from a security standpoint, the national conversation should focus on why intelligence didn’t stop the Paris attacks instead of not admitting refugees, who are not a security risk in the US, but people fleeing ISIS.
