The College of Architecture and Design’s open house for prospective undergraduate and graduate students is set for noon-4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, in the Art and Architecture Building.

University of Tennessee at Knoxville, Art and Architecture Building, Location: Knoxville TN, Architect: Bruce McCarty

The event will give attendees the opportunity to learn about the college’s programs in architecture, landscape architecture, and interior design.

“The creative spirit is alive at the College of Architecture and Design,” said Julie Beckman, director of the college’s Center for Student Development. “At open house, families will experience that atmosphere by engaging with students and faculty, touring our facilities, and, most importantly, learning how a design education can change a student’s life and positively impact the built environment.”

Open house activities for high school juniors and seniors as well as current UT undergraduate and graduate students include meeting current architecture and design students, viewing student designs, speaking with faculty, touring the building, learning about study abroad opportunities, and touring the college’s Fab Lab.

Guests will enjoy a complimentary lunch provided by Dead End BBQ.
