Michael Fitzgerald spoke to the Knoxville News Sentinel about the voting histories of Knoxville City Council candidates. He noted that incumbents have a vested interested in voting, while challengers often are new to a community or haven’t yet gotten used to voting. “Once you’re holding office, you have to build and maintain political alliances, and you’re serving as an example by helping to (vote) and take a stand. One vote can make a difference, particularly in local elections,” he said. Read the story here.
