Chancellor Cheek and Dean of Students Melissa Shivers surprised nine seniors during the past two weeks in different classes and meetings to notify them they had been selected to receive the Torchbearer award.

Congratulations to Rilwan Balogun, Matthew Barnett, Cierra Burdick, Connor Dugosh, Kelsey Keny, Valerie King, Kenna Rewcastle, Julia Ross, and Christopher Smith for being awarded the highest honor that a student can receive at the university.

These nine students will receive their Torchbearer awards during the Chancellor’s Honors Banquet on Wednesday, April 8.
