UT students Sam McCullough, a junior in finance, and Will Logan, a junior in marketing, are competing for the chance of a lifetime. They hope to perform at one of the world’s best music festivals, Bonnaroo.
Sam and Will, along with two bandmates who attend the University of the South, are members of the Americana roots rock band Boy Named Banjo.
The band has made it to the fourth round in the Bonnaroo Battle of the Bracket competition and is now competing to make it to the fifth round.
The competition is similar to March Madness, with bands placed in a bracket and pitted head to head against each other. There are six rounds of voting and each round lasts two days. The last two bands standing will win a slot to play at the music festival.
You can cast your vote for the band by visiting the contest’s website.
You can continue to vote daily until the competition ends on Monday, April 6.
