Celebrate Black History Month
UT is offering a series of events in celebration of Black History Month. Thirteen events take place on and off campus throughout the month, including the annual Diversity Job Fair, the Diversity Scholars Bowl, the tenth annual Legends Lecture featuring Lisa Leslie, the Trailblazers Series featuring Mark Dean, and a viewing of the 2014 movie Selma.

Head to Vol Night Long for Volapalooza Lineup Announcement
The countdown to one of UT’s top traditions, Volapalooza, has begun. Join the Campus Entertainment Board and the Volapalooza Event Planners for a “Game Night” themed Vol Night Long with laser tag, glow-in-the-dark games and free food. This event will also feature the official Volapalooza lineup reveal. The event runs from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, in the UC.
Volapalooza is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 24, in World’s Fair Park.
Go Inside the World’s Most Heroic Brand
Learn the behind-the-scenes history of Marvel, one of the world’s most prominent character-based entertainment companies. Hear who their top ten characters are and how you can be the hero of your own story. Bill Rosemann, Marvel creative director, shares exclusive insider insights and inspirations from the iconic world of Marvel Comics that reveal how you can pursue your dreams and turn your passion into a career.
The event begins at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, in the UC Auditorium.
Clean Up Your Résumé
It’s time to update your résumé and get your business clothes ready for next week’s job fairs. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with corporate employers, government agencies, and nonprofits about full-time entry-level positions or internships.
The Diversity Job Fair is from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 10, and the Spring Job and Internship Fair is from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11. Both fairs take place in Thompson-Boling Arena.
Give Your Professor a Shout-Out During Faculty Appreciation Week
Take some time this month to say thanks to your favorite faculty members. We’re celebrating Faculty Appreciation Week February 16–20 and asking students to share a shout-out to their favorite professors on Twitter and Instagram. Use the hashtag #UTFaculty or take a selfie with your favorite professor.
