Applied Physiology Lab Seeking Research Participants

The university’s Applied Physiology Lab is looking for research participants for a study on the effects of television watching during exercise. Entitled, “The Psycho-physiological Effects of Self-Selected Television Viewing During Exercise,” the study is open to those between the ages of thirty and sixty who meet certain criteria. Eligible participants must be able to walk comfortably on a treadmill for thirty minutes and are not currently exercising five or more days each week for thirty minutes each session.

The study will measure participants’ heart rate and feelings towards exercise during and after an exercise session. Participants will receive a free health screening that includes blood pressure, heart rate, body composition, and fitness assessment.
