ModernThink, UT’s survey partner, sent the e-mail. Employees must use the unique log-in and password in the e-mail invitation to access and complete the survey. If you did not receive an invitation, visit the Human Resources website for instructions on how to get a new one.
Eligible employees who have not yet taken the survey will get an e-mail invitation sent to them again on Monday, November 10 and November 17. The survey closes on Friday, November 21.
The survey asks seventy questions and takes about twenty minutes to complete. The questions cover a broad range of topics and seek employee opinions about compensation, benefits, and professional development to how much they feel their job is tied to UT’s mission.
Goals have been set for each UT campus or institute based on participation rates in the 2011 survey: This year’s goals are:
- UT Knoxville – 65 percent
- UT Institute of Agriculture –72 percent
- UT Space Institute – 75 percent
- UT Foundation – 80 percent
- UT System – 80 percent
UT Human Resources is in touch with ModernThink to track participation rates throughout this three-week period. All employees are asked to encourage their colleagues to take the survey. All supervisors should also encourage participation among all eligible employees.
Later this fall, ModernThink will provide UT with the survey results in format designed to ensure employee anonymity.
Human Resources has scheduled sessions across campus to administer paper surveys to employees whose jobs do not require them to have regular e-mail access.
