LogoTT_150Beginning January 1, 2015, the Knoxville campus community will see an exciting change—a new logo.

The new logo features the Power T, instead of the system “UT” icon, and an updated wordmark. It will represent all UT Knoxville colleges, departments, centers, institutes, and administrative offices. If your office reports to Chancellor Cheek, you will use the new logo beginning next year.

The decision to update the logo was made based on results from audience research, guidance from stakeholders, and in partnership with athletics.

As you can imagine, a change like this will take time to implement across campus. The chancellor has approved a plan to phase in usage by departments and units over the next several months.

The Office of Communications and Marketing is facilitating the implementation and will work closely with staff and faculty members responsible for communications to develop logo files, templates, and other design components for every campus unit.

Details about the implementation process will be shared at an information session for campus communicators at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 24, in the UC Shiloh Room, Room 235.
