The University of Tennessee’s Employee Engagement Survey is just a few weeks away. All regular UT employees who work at least 50 percent time will be asked to participate in the survey beginning November 3.

I will be hosting an open forum for all faculty and staff from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 22, in the University Center Shiloh Room. The forum will feature leaders from UT Human Resources and Modern Think, our survey partner. The session will provide an overview and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the survey or the process.

The Employee Engagement Survey is administered to all UT employees across the state every three years. It is an important tool that helps us gauge faculty and staff satisfaction and engagement. The results provide us with insight about work environments and the campus’s overall employee culture.

Past surveys have helped us take steps to improve several areas, including the performance management process, compensation, and engagement between employees and campus leadership through campus-wide appreciation events.

I hope you will plan to attend the forum on October 22 and be ready to take the survey in November. We appreciate your participation and your feedback.

Learn more about the survey on the Human Resources website.
