The History Channel’s Ten Things You Don’t Know About show featuring UT’s Papers of Andrew Jackson staff will air at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11.

History Professor Dan Feller and Research Associate Professor Tom Coens were involved in the shoot with the show’s star, punk rock musician Henry Rollins. Ten Things You Don’t Know About looks at interesting “twists and tidbits behind the historical tales, figures, and places you only thought you knew.”

The Papers of Andrew Jackson project is collecting and publishing Jackson’s entire literary record. It just produced its ninth volume, which focuses on 1831. The project is hosted by the UT history department and funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the National Historical Publications and Records Commission. Feller is the editor and director of the Jackson papers; Coens and Research Associate Professor Laura-Eve Moss are associate editors.

Rollins—an avid traveler and history buff—was front man for both Rollins Band and Black Flag. He’s also worked as an actor, radio DJ, and magazine columnist. He’s authored more than twenty-five books.
