Wall Street Journal The Wall Street Journal interviewed alumnus Barry “Butch” Wilmore about watching Southeastern Conference football in space. Wilmore, a NASA astronaut, is launching into space next week where he will takeover as expedition commander in November. He has arranged to have games recorded and uplinked as computer files through a DVR-like setup for astronauts. Some of those games, like the ones on the new SEC Network, aren’t even available to everyone on Earth. Turns out, it is easier to catch a game in space than at home with his children. “I wish I could watch more Southeastern Conference football—or any football,” he said. “Sometimes, in the middle of the football game, I end up watching ‘My Little Pony.’ “
