UT doctor: Be careful about West Africa travel

 

Knoxville News SentinelEbola, a highly infectious virus disease, has been blamed for more than 900 deaths in four West African countries. An East Tennessee doctor treating Ebola patients in West Africa recently returned home to Morristown and is currently under quarantine.

Paul Erwin, a doctor of internal medicine and head of the Department of Public Health, interviewed with the News Sentinel about the implications of the virus, how it’s transmitted, the incubation period, and precautions East Tennesseans can take. Read the story here.
