The News Sentinel this week highlighted the College of Social Work and its efforts to help East Tennessee residents and officials better understand the issue of homelessness.
The number of homeless individuals who identified themselves as military veterans during interviews with researchers is among the lowest since the mid-1980s in Knoxville and Knox County, according to a report released Tuesday. The report is part of the data collection efforts of the Knox Homeless Management Information System (KnoxHMIS), which is managed by the College of Social Work. Read the full News Sentinel story here.
