The Detroit News featured a White House announcement of a new project called the Lightweight and Modern Metals Manufacturing Innovation, or LM3I, of which UT is a partner. The 
project puts a focus on lighter, yet stronger materials which will help improve the performance, enhance the safety, and boost the energy and fuel efficiency of vehicles and machines.
