More than 1,800 undergraduate and graduate students will receive their degrees from UT this week. Commencement ceremonies will be held Thursday and Friday.

Jacob Hayes, Class of 2013, is the featured speaker for the Fall 2013 Commencement ceremony.The graduate hooding ceremony will take place at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, December 12. The university-wide fall commencement ceremony is set for 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 13. Both ceremonies will take place at the Thompson-Boling Arena.

The featured speaker for the undergraduate ceremony will be Jacob Hayes, a member of the graduating class. Hayes, an American Studies major from Jackson, Tennessee, was selected as speaker after a competition among members of the class of 2013.

All ceremonies are being webcast and shown on UTTV, the campus television channel. UTTV is channel 65 on campus and channel 194 on Comcast digital cable.

Parking for commencement is available at any student parking area on campus, including the Neyland Drive garage (G-10) which is adjacent to the arena. Parking for disabled persons is also available in the G-10 garage.
