Natalie L. Haslam Music CenterThis morning the university held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to dedicate the new Natalie L. Haslam Music Center. Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek was  joined by UT System President Joe DiPietro, Governor Bill Haslam, and US Senator Lamar Alexander, along with other officials, to honor Natalie Haslam and commemorate the opening of the new building.

The music center is the new home of the UT School of Music. The four-floor, 123,000-square-foot facility houses the Sandra G. Powell Recital Hall; the George F. DeVine Music Library; rehearsal facilities for the band, choral and orchestra programs; a computer lab; 57 performance studios/offices; eight technology-enhanced classrooms; and more than 50 practice rooms.
