Chris Cimino, vice chancellor for finance and administration, has been named to the Research Universities Constituent Council of the National Association of College and University Business Officers.

NACUBO is a membership organization for business and financial officers that represents more than 2,500 colleges, universities, and higher education service providers across the country and around the world.

The organization’s Research Universities Council serves the unique needs of more than 200 research public and private universities, including academic medical centers. Cimino’s role will involve sharing information, ideas, and feedback with the NACUBO administrators and staff on programming, products, and services for the research university membership.

Cimino has been serving as vice chancellor for the Knoxville campus since 2009 and in various roles for the UT system since 1997. As vice chancellor, he oversees the $982 million annual budget and most fiscal, physical, and auxiliary operations for the campus.

A native of Nashville, he has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Samford University and an MBA from UT Chattanooga.
