WATE-TV and The Chattanoogan featured the announcement of this year’s Manning Scholars. Alexandra Brito from Brentwood and Grant Currin from Cleveland have been named the 2013 recipients of the Peyton Manning Scholarship . The scholarship is awarded annually to incoming first-year students who have been selected as Haslam Scholars. The program is now in its 16th year and has honored 20 students. “The scholarship program has been a great connection for me to the University,” said Manning. “I had a wonderful four years here at UT, and I wanted a number of other students to have the same chances and opportunities that I had.”
