The College of Architecture and Design will host an open house for prospective students on Friday, April 5.

The event, from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. in the Art and Architecture Building, will give prospective undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to learn about the college’s programs in interior design, landscape architecture, and architecture. Each program is accredited and is the highest ranked program of its kind in Tennessee.

The event is open to potential students from high schools and universities. Current UT students from other disciplines are also invited to attend.

College faculty will make presentations and participants will have the opportunity to talk to student leaders and program chairs. The Offices of Financial Aid, Housing, and Campus Life and the UT Police Department will also make presentations to parents.

The day will close with a reception featuring hors d’oeuvres and music in the college’s reading room and courtyard.

“Beyond basic issues of orientation and logistics, the open house offers our prospective students opportunities to meet with faculty and existing students, better survey the facilities, and learn of new developments in each program and the college,” said George Dodds, the college’s associate dean of academics and research.
