The fourth and final candidate in the search for the associate provost and director of the Chancellor’s Honors and Haslam Scholars programs will visit campus Wednesday and lead a forum for the campus community.
Kevin Knudson, director of the Honors Program at the University of Florida, will lead the forum from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, in the Crest Room of the University Center.
Knudson has been director of the Honors Program since 2009. He also has been professor of mathematics at the University of Florida since 2009. Prior to that, he was associate professor of mathematics at Mississippi State University from 2005 to 2009 and assistant professor of mathematics there from 2002 to 2005. He also was assistant professor of mathematics at Wayne State University from 1999 to 2002.
He holds a doctorate in mathematics from Duke University, and a Master of Science in mathematics and Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

John Zomchick, vice provost for faculty affairs, is chairing the search. The position has been vacant since June, when Steve Dandaneau left to become the vice provost of undergraduate studies at Kansas State University. W. Bruce Wheeler, professor emeritus of history, has been serving as the interim associate provost.
