East Tennessee is home to some of the world’s fastest supercomputers. But what will it take to make these computers fifty times faster? What kind of problems could a computer with this power solve? Jack Dongarra, distinguished professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, will discuss these questions during a live chat hosted by American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Science at 4:00 p.m. today. He will be joined by Horst Simon, the deputy director of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, and science writer Bob Service. You can join the chat by visiting the Science website.
