A National Science Foundation communications workshop designed to improve the public communications skills of researchers will be held at the UT Conference Center on Wednesday and Thursday, November 7 and 8.

“Science: Becoming the Messenger” is designed to help university researchers at all experience and education levels communicate effectively with the public. Workshops on Wednesday will be open to principal investigators, early-career researchers, post-doctorates, and graduate students from UT and other academic institutions. Public information officers also are invited.

Sessions on Thursday will be limited to a small group of selected researchers who will receive intensive communications training. There is no registration fee, though preregistration is required.

TN-SCORE and the UT Office of Research are co-hosting the event.
