Linda Kah, associate professor of earth and planetary sciences, and her Mars Curiosity camera team call this picture “Wall-E.” The last few days, the team has been inspecting the Mars Hand Lens Imager or MAHLI camera as well as other instruments on the arm turret for any damage.  While the mast was taking pictures, they took pictures of the mast which resembles the Pixar character.
