Adrian Del Caro has joined the Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures as professor and department head.
Del Caro comes to UT from Purdue University where he was a professor and a department chair. He has held administrative positions, including department head, at the University of Alberta, the University of Colorado at Boulder, and Mississippi State University.
He has a doctorate in German from the University of Minnesota.
The former head of the department, Erec Koch, resigned last year to accept a position at another university. Professor Greg Kaplan has been serving as interim department head.
