Applications are now being sought for the position of vice provost for faculty affairs.

This vice provost will work closely with the provost on promotion and tenure decisions and will make recommendations to the provost on personnel issues not resolved at the college level. Responsibilities also include management of the annual faculty evaluation and retention process, cumulative reviews, leadership training, faculty development leaves, the faculty hiring process, coordination of opportunity hires, new faculty orientation, and working with the Faculty Affairs Committee of the Faculty Senate to update and revise the Faculty Handbook and the Manual for Faculty Evaluation.

Applicants must be UT faculty members with rank of professor and with tenure. It is preferred that applicants have administrative experience at the departmental or college level and knowledge of faculty and exempt staff search procedures, faculty appointments, and university policies and procedures.

Applications should include: a letter of interest addressing qualifications, a comprehensive curriculum vitae, and the names and contact information of at least three references.
