College of Nursing Dean Victoria Niederhauser was interviewed for an article in NursesZone.com. The dean spoke about the college’s new partnership with The Beryl Institute which seeks to improve the patient experience across the health care continuum. “We want to bring in resources to our curricula that create a better understanding and awareness of how we can continue to make positive experiences for our patients,” she said in the article. The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is one of five universities in the nation selected for this unique partnership. The Beryl Institute provides a global community or gathering place, of sorts, where people can share ideas, practices and thoughts, as well as connect with others, both in their area and around the world on the topic of the patient experience.
