The Knoxville News Sentinel featured a story about the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in which the university is bucking a national trend by growing its degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics degrees. Since 2005, the number of students enrolled in STEM disciplines across all degree levels at UT jumped 28 percent, while those numbers rose 41 percent among undergraduates.
