KNOXVILLE –Saks Fifth Avenue chairman and chief executive officer Stephen I. Sadove will be on campus October 4 to give University of Tennessee students a glimpse of what their future could be in the retail industry.
Sadove kicks off the October speaker series hosted by the Retail and Consumer Science program of UT’s Department of Retail, Hospitality, and Tourism Management.
Business executives from four national corporations will be on hand for the month-long event. Students will be able to seek their advice and also have an opportunity to apply for internships and jobs in their companies.
The events are open to the public.

Tuesday, October 4:
10:30-11:30 a.m.: Saks Fifth Avenue; Keynote address by Stephen I. Sadove, chairman and CEO, “The Evolution of Saks: Managing Change in Multi Retailing Channels.” University Center Auditorium.
11:45 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: Careers in Retailing; University of Tennessee Retail and Consumer Science graduates in product development, space planning and allocation, store management, and business ownership will share their success stories during several sessions throughout the day.
Monday, October 17:
5:30-6:30 p.m.: Kohl’s’ Presentations by Julia Kellogg, vice president of merchandise presentation; Sara Quigley, senior manager of visual merchandising; and Vanessa Delgado, planner of merchandise presentation. University Center Shiloh Room.
6:30-7 p.m.: Additional time to address student questions.
