The Student Success Center has moved its office to 812 Volunteer Boulevard.

The center’s former location—1817 Melrose Avenue—now houses the offices of Ruth Darling, assistant provost for student success, and First Year Studies Programs. Phyliss Shey serves as the administrative coordinator in this office.

The Student Success Center is directed by Anton Reece. The center’s services include:

• Academic Coaching

• UT LEAD

• UT LEAD Summer Institute

• Supplemental Instruction

• Academic Success Workshops

• Dismissal and readmissions appeals

• FYS 101/401 – remains through Spring 2012

• Tutoring (in development)

• SSC Commons in the Hodges Library

• Sophomore Programs

Darling and the First Year Studies Office will be the key points of contact for these programs:

• First-Year Intervention

• Pellissippi Summer Bridge Program

• FYS 129 Freshman Seminars

• FYS 100, the new online course for all first-year students, which includes Life of the Mind

• FYS 101 will move under the First-Year Programs office sometime after spring

• Campus coordination of advising and learning assistance

• Undergraduate grade appeals
