UT Knoxville and UT Athletics will team up to help residents of the East Tennessee counties that suffered massive damage during last week’s severe weather.
From 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, the UT Volunteers football truck will be parked at the Regal Soccer Stadium on Stephenson Drive, off Neyland Drive.
UT staff and students will be on-hand to accept donations, sort, and load the truck which will driven to a Salvation Army distribution center on Wednesday. Items will be provided to people in need from Bradley, Greene, Hamilton, and Washington counties.
Items specifically requested include:
- Household cleaning supplies
- Bottled water
- New underwear
- Infant supplies, such as formula, diapers, and baby wipes
- Towels and wash cloths
- Toiletries – preferably in trial sizes
- Batteries
- Flashlights
- Tarps
- Duct tape
