KNOXVILLE — “What the Health Care Reform Law Means to You,” a panel discussion on health care reform law, will be held Aug. 31 at the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
The event — which also will be webcast live — will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Baker Center Toyota Auditorium.
Panelists Carole R. Myers and Beth Uselton will provide an overview of recently passed national health care reform law, outline key provisions of the reform law and review the implementation timeline. Panelists also will discuss what the health care law reform means for those with employer-based coverage, Medicaid or Medicare, uninsured individuals and small businesses.
Myers is an assistant professor in the College of Nursing at UT Knoxville and a fellow for health policy at the Baker Center. Uselton is the lead organizer for the Tennessee Health Care Campaign, a nonpartisan, nonprofit statewide consumer advocacy organization focused on health care policy on both the state and national level.
