The ratings are in, and UT Knoxville’s National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis, or NIMBioS, is at the top of the charts.

A video about the year-old National Science Foundation research center is the most-watched video on the SEC Academic Network, a new Web site that hosts academically-oriented videos from all the schools of the Southeastern Conference. The site, which was created as part of the new partnership between the schools of the SEC and ESPN, is designed to attract more attention to the institutions’ primary academic missions.

The NIMBioS video, created for Quest magazine by the Office of Communications and Marketing, has received 4,767 views on the site, which puts it at the top of the most viewed list, and ahead of the more than 100 other videos available on the site. The site went live in September to coincide with the start of both football season and a new academic year, and videos cover a wide range of topics at the different institutions.

The network can be found online at http://www.secacademicnetwork.com. To view the NIMBioS video, or any other video from UT Knoxville, just click on the “Tennessee” link on the right-hand side of the page, and then choose from the videos at the bottom of the page.
